User Content & Acceptable Use
This policy applies to content you create, save, upload, record, synchronize, or submit through Honed.
1. Your content remains yours
You retain ownership of your original interview answers, notes, answer versions, recordings, transcripts, resumes, job information, outcome logs, optional employer feedback, and other material you create. Honed receives only the limited rights needed to store, synchronize, transmit, analyze, transform, and return that content when you use the corresponding feature.
2. Content you must not submit
Do not use Honed to create, store, upload, or transmit content that:
- you do not have the right or permission to use;
- contains confidential employer information, trade secrets, restricted customer information, or unlawfully disclosed personal data;
- facilitates fraud, impersonation, harassment, threats, hate, exploitation, or unlawful discrimination;
- contains malware or is intended to disrupt the Service;
- infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- violates applicable law or platform rules.
3. Recordings
Honed is intended primarily for recording your own practice. If another person is visible or audible, you are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording, uploading, analyzing, synchronizing, or sharing that content.
4. AI and answer honing
If you choose an AI feature, relevant User Content may be transmitted to the configured AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Avoid including information that is unnecessary for interview preparation. AI output can be wrong and must be reviewed before use.
The on-device “Hone this answer” drill is designed to use only facts already present in your answer or facts you explicitly select/type. You remain responsible for verifying the final wording before saving or using it.
5. Job outcomes and employer feedback
Optional job-search outcomes and employer feedback remain part of your private job metadata in the current build. Employer feedback is not automatically sent into AI coaching. Do not store confidential or unlawfully obtained third-party information.
6. No public community at this time
The current Honed experience is private and does not operate a public social feed. If a future web portal adds sharing, collaboration, comments, public profiles, or community content, we will update this policy and add appropriate moderation/reporting controls before launch.
7. Enforcement
We may restrict server-based features or access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, legal requirements, or violations of this policy. Where practical, users can contact us if they believe an action was taken in error.
